Juan Camilo Lozano Villamizar was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. He is a self-taught musician and has been playing bass for a decade. He was brought into music by his mentor and brother, Fabian, at the age of 14. They went together to local gigs where Juan was able to network with many musicians and practice. 

Juan has performed with Jorge Oñate’s brother as well as one of Poncho Zuleta’s son and many other legends of Vallenato.

 

He landed two years ago in the UK and met the so special band “Los Arias Bros“ and Nirk Molina’s band with whom he discover London’s great cultural life. He is now employed as a credit controller, combining working life and music knowing that the next big step will be taking Vallenato to a greater level.
