Inirida Escalona Castañeda better known as Iris Escalona was born in Santa Marta Colombia on January 27 1991, in the Colombian Caribbean coast, She is a singer, Composer, Nurse & Artisan Designer. She is part of one of the greatest musical dynasties, The Escalonas, more precisely the niece of the great Vallenato Composer Rafael Calixto Escalona Martinez. Iris is a talented, charismatic, elegant and beautiful women dedicated to her musical art & audience.

 

Her love for music began at an early age, her first songs to learn were from the greatest pillars of Vallenato music such as Los Hermanos Zuleta, Jorge Onate, Diomedes Diaz among others. From a young age she participated as singer in countless events in the Caribbean coast, being awarded in different competitions for her great talent. For many years she was part of different gospel music groups,  she has had the honor of sharing with great artists such as Ana Del Castillo, Nando Arias, Juan Piña, Cesar Del Valle, Juan Bautista Escalona, ​​Carlos Escalona, ​​Andres El Turco Gil, Los Niños Del Vallenato, Natali Cucu, Juan David Atencia (El Nino Acordeonero), Ivan Villazon, Angelica Lopez, The Mexican Way.
